His journey began as a Marketing and Sales Manager for Flexible Marketing and Marketing (Pvt) in Singapore, where he oversaw operations across East and Central Africa. Over the years, Juma has held several key management positions in both Europe and Africa, enhancing his strategic and operational expertise. His extensive experience includes working as a Management Consultant for a diverse array of businesses and organizations in the United States, Europe, and Africa, where he has provided valuable insights and driven significant growth.
With more than a decade of experience in the coffee industry, Juma has established himself as an expert in this sector. Before founding African Coffee Brands, he led Van Haki Koffie, a company dedicated to the marketing and promotion of Good African Coffee in the Netherlands.
Juma holds a degree in Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands, solidifying his academic foundation in business principles and practices. Additionally, he is a certified Barista, having trained at the Nairobi School of Coffee by Dormans. This certification reflects his deep understanding of the coffee industry from both a business and technical perspective.
Juma’s diverse experience in management, consulting, branding, and marketing has endowed him with invaluable knowledge and insights. These have equipped him with the capacity to develop innovative strategies to help the African coffee industry capitalize on opportunities within the European roast coffee market.
Outside of his professional life, Juma is an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys watching football and boxing, and during his high school years, he was an amateur boxer. He is a dedicated fan of Liverpool Football Club and Ajax FC Amsterdam. On weekends, Juma cherishes spending quality time with his family and friends, underscoring the importance of personal connections and relaxation in his life.
